Why I built PixelRetriever

For just as long, I kept finding my own photos out in the world without credit or permission. On band pages, on blogs, even printed on merch.

The turning point was a billboard. One of my concert shots was on it, and I only found out because someone posted a selfie in front of it. A company was making money from my work and I had no idea.

After hundreds of shows, checking a whole archive by hand is impossible. The tools that existed were priced for agencies or vague about what they actually did.

So I built PixelRetriever for myself. Other photographers saw it and asked to use it, so I opened it up.

I kept it honest on purpose. It's clear about what it finds and what it doesn't. Your originals never leave your own cloud, only a fingerprint does. The price is flat, with no commission on anything you recover.
